Sometimes, something just hits me like a punch in the face. It's strong, surprising, and stays with me for longer than I'd ever expect. For the last day and a half, I've been listening to Wil Wheaton's audiobooks on Bandcamp, http://wilwheaton.bandcamp.com/
While the Happiest Days of Our Lives is a great book, the struggle, frustration, and pain that Mr. Wheaton so personally pours out to us in Just A Geek is that punch in the face.
While I didn't grow up as a fan of The Next Generation, I respect Wil Wheaton as an actor, a geek, and a very real human being. While it saddens me to listen to his struggles, and the pain he has had to go through, I am thankful for him being willing to share them with us.
